Registration for an account to apply for scholarships

All those who wish to be considered for a 2025 Vanuatu Government Scholarship must REGISTER on the system for an account first before you can apply.

Below is a guide on how to register.
  • Go to the menu above (right) and click Register to go to the registration page.
  • In the registration page, enter all the fields in the form before clicking the register button.
    Email address must be a valid email address because an email will be send to this email for you verify your account before you login into the system. Also, the scholarship office will use this email you provided to contact you with regards to your application status and more.
    Password requirement are:
    • Must be at least 6 or more character long
    • Must have at least one non alphanumeric character (eg. , $, !, (), and more)
    • Must have at least one digit ('0'-'9')
    • Must have at least one uppercase ('A'-'Z')
  • First name must be the name on your birth certificate

Application Information

Information here are to guide you to apply for a scholarship successfully.

  • NO paper-based applications will be accepted.
  • Please read the Scholarship Eligibility Criteria before you start your application. Download
  • Application information has seven (7) sections but requirement for filling those sections will differ depending on the application category you fall under. Eg. If your application category is others then you must fill out all seven sections otherwise if your application category is Current Year 13 SPFSC/Current DAEU/ Current Baccalaureat/Current Yr12/Yr13 not SPFSC or Outside Vanuatu then you only need to fill three (3) sections.
  • Required fields for consideration:
    • Indicate your citizenship information
    • National ID Number
    • First Name and Surname
    • Date of Birth
    • Country of Birth
    • Gender
    • Island of Origin
    • Marital Status
    • Mobile Number
    • Emergency Contact Person
    • Emergency Contact Mobile Number
    • All fields in 'PROPOSED STUDY PROGRAM' section
    • Highest qualification
    • Courses and grades for your highest qualification
  • Click "Documents Needed" to see the required documents for your application.

Document needed to apply for a scholarship

The documents you need to upload in support of your application are:

  • If you apply as a Current Year 13 SPFSC or a Current DAEU or a Current Baccalaureat or a Current Yr12/Yr13 not SPFSC or Outside Vanuatu then you only need to upload a copy of your birth certificate. Once your grades come out then you can upload them later after you already submitted your application. Use the button link labelled 'Additional Details' in the page listing your submitted application to upload copy of your transcript and add your courses and grades.
  • If your application category is 'Other' then below are the documents required:

    • Copy of birth certificate
    • If your martial status is De facto/Married then you must upload a support letter from your partner
    • Copy of certified Highest qualification certificate
    • Copy of certified highest qualification transcript
  • If you are currently studying:

    • Official evidence of enrolment at your current institution
    • Copy of your Programme Requirements (e.g. for USP students able to be printed from Student Online Services (SOLS))
    • For your current study transcript nd course and grades information, once they are released then sse the button link labelled 'Additional Details' in the page listing your submitted application to upload copy of your transcript and add your courses and grades
  • If your proposed program of study is Post-Graduate/Masters then you need to upload:

    • Post-Graduate Proposed Research Topic
    • Letter of recommendation from university lecturer
  • PhD applicants need a letter of support from their institution.
  • If you are currently employed, you must upload:

    • Recent Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    • Letter of recommendation from your organization (signed by Director-General/Chief Executive/General Manager/Principal)
    • Letter of approval from your commision (PSC/TSC/Police/etc) if you work in the public sector.

Note: Passport are only required if you are shortlisted for a scholarship. If you are shortlisted, and are to study at an overseas institution, your passport must have at least six (6) months before its expiry date.

Vanuatu Government Scholarship Priority Framework

Vanuatu Government Scholarships provide the key means for the Government to build the human resources the nation needs in order to achieve our development goals across our Society, Environment, and Economy pillars. As such all scholarships awarded must be directly linked to the Vanuatu Government Scholarship Priority Framework.

No aviation-related scholarships are available until 2025 due to ongoing planning in the sector.

Program/Sponsor Specific Information

Some institutions and programs of study have specific application requirements. The following may be of particular interest.

  • All those wishing to be considered for 2025 Vanuatu Government Scholarship must carefully research their intended program of study to ensure they are familiar with all admission and entry requirements. A scholarship cannot be awarded if you do not meet the entry requirements for your proposed program of study at the institution you intend to study at (including having submitted a program application by the required due date).
